Empowering Humanity is the brain child of Mohamed Saffie, an empowered researcher and dedicated lifelong student, who has over his career directed, advised, and taught countless humans about better ways of living through an enhanced understanding of the Quraan. As a young teenager growing up in the Caribbean, Saffie dreamed – during the day – of enriching the lives of his fellow humans and positively contributing to society. Today he is living his dream.

Founded in 2016, Empowering Humanity decided to share this enhanced understanding of the Quraan to a global audience.

The core ethos behind Empowering Humanity is the realization that we live in an era where the Quraan’s message is immobilized, and only the surface is scratched. Like an onion, humans choose to only peel the first layer of the Quraan’s meanings, resulting in literal understandings that diametrically oppose the Quraan’s core principles and lead to absurd consequences. Unfortunately, the Quraan ceases to function as a practical guide. Rather, the Quraan has been downgraded to simply a religious holy scripture.

In many aspects of life, humans are content with the traditional, common, and malnourished understandings of key concepts and the Quraan itself. Such contentment breeds generations of humans and societies whom merely consider the most literal and superficial meanings. Countless humans have failed to dig past the status quo translations of words. Consequently, such humans lack the motivation to dig deeper into the Quraan and extract more valuable and practical meanings buried within.

However, hope remains. Only when we begin to enhance our minds – through honest research and learning – will we be able to extract deeper, richer, and more evolved understandings of the Quraan. The salvation of humanity will depend on a present and future breed of people who are propelled by a different way of understanding the world – through a highly evolved understanding of the principles and values found in the Quraan and other sources of guidance – and thus they will act differently, producing different results than past generations.

We choose, through our level of understanding, whether we accept the useless outer skin of the onion or whether we are prepared to shed the tears and peel away the onion’s layers. Only by employing our tools of reasoning, logic, critical thinking, and fearless questioning can we extract the priceless wisdom housed within the Quraan; a wisdom that will certainly bring enhancement and empowering to ourselves and humanity.
